Free platform and direct engagements
WedQuarter provides a platform for people and businesses to explore talent, communicate, request dates and keep engagement records. Freelancers and business owners are independent parties. WedQuarter is not their employer, agent, insurer or guarantor merely because they use the platform.
Platform access is currently free. There are no active paid memberships and WedQuarter is not collecting platform subscription fees. A displayed future plan or software payment feature is not an active paid offer. We will disclose any future price, billing cycle and applicable terms before asking you to expressly purchase it. Free accounts are not automatically converted into paying accounts.
The business owner and freelancer agree, make and receive their service payments directly. WedQuarter does not collect, hold, transfer, process, secure or guarantee those payments, provide escrow, or guarantee repayment. Any separately signed agreement that expressly makes WedQuarter a contracting service provider must be assessed under its own terms; this platform statement does not erase such an agreement.
Who may use an account
These terms cover both freelancer and business owner roles, including an authorised change of account role. You must be at least 18, capable of entering an agreement and, when acting for a business, authorised to bind it. Provide accurate identity, contact and professional information, keep it current and protect your sign-in credentials. You are responsible for activity you authorise. Report suspected account compromise promptly.
Creating an account requires an unticked, affirmative acceptance of the current Terms, Booking & Cancellation Policy, Refund Policy and Verification & Safety Policy, and acknowledgement of the Privacy Policy. Members without recorded acceptance must accept before continuing to use account features. We record the accepted text, version and time. Acceptance applies from when it is given; old records are never backdated. Routine website releases, formatting and minor policy corrections do not require renewed acceptance. A major public-policy change explicitly marked for renewed acceptance by an administrator requires members to review and accept again before continuing. Optional document-verification and marketing choices remain separate.
If you do not agree, do not use the account features. You may still read policies, contact support, sign out and request account closure. Declining or closing an account does not cancel an engagement, erase accrued rights or release outstanding lawful payment, delivery or confidentiality obligations between members.
Freelancer responsibilities
Represent your skills, experience, availability, rates and portfolio honestly. Publish only work and personal information you have permission to use. Identify any material limitations, equipment needs, travel costs and third-party assistance before the engagement is agreed.
Attend accepted engagements on time, communicate foreseeable difficulties promptly, honour the agreed scope and delivery dates, safeguard client material and follow lawful venue and safety instructions. Do not double-book accepted reserved dates. A substitute, change of crew or transfer of work requires the business’s agreement where the contract calls for the named freelancer.
You remain responsible for your professional licences, permissions, insurance and tax obligations where applicable. The badge or platform approval is not certification of artistic ability, insurance, solvency or legal compliance.
Keep equipment and client property safe, use footage only within the agreed permissions, return entrusted property and deliver the agreed files securely. Do not retain, publish, sell or reuse client material beyond your authority. Promptly notify the business of loss, damage, a material delay or an incident affecting the engagement, and take reasonable steps to reduce further harm.
Business responsibilities
Provide a genuine event or job brief, correct dates/location, expected hours, deliverables, contact person, budget and relevant safety/access information. Do not misrepresent work, exploit applicants or request unlawful, discriminatory or unsafe services.
Agree and document fees, advances, travel/accommodation, overtime, taxes, cancellation treatment, delivery format, revisions and usage rights before work begins. Pay the agreed recipient on the agreed schedule and verify bank details independently. Do not treat a platform status as proof that a transfer has cleared.
Obtain necessary client, venue and participant permissions. Respect the freelancer’s intellectual property and confidentiality. Rights to raw files, editing, publication and commercial use must be stated in the parties’ contract; paying a fee or finding someone here does not automatically settle every copyright question.
Before hiring, carry out your own lawful and proportionate checks: speak directly, check references and work ownership, confirm scope and availability, and verify the intended payment recipient. You may use a suitably qualified investigator where lawful. Do not demand prohibited information, impersonate an authority, harass a person or publish private identity records. If uncertain, do not proceed.
Requests, acceptance and contracts
A pending request does not reserve dates. Freelancer approval reserves the accepted dates on the platform calendar, subject to the booking’s status and cancellation rules. Availability may change before approval; an unmarked day is not a guarantee of availability.
Date acceptance alone does not confirm every commercial term. The parties must review and agree the scope, price and contract. Record agreed changes, and sign an updated contract where the platform offers versioned contracts. Recorded names and timestamps are evidence of an action; WedQuarter does not represent every in-app signature as a government-certified digital signature.
The standard brand–freelancer contract proposes settlement within seven days after completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. The agreement actually accepted for the engagement governs, subject to law. Completion is recorded separately by both parties after the booking ends.
Businesses may edit a contract and use optional AI drafting assistance before sending it to a freelancer. AI suggestions are unverified drafts, not legal advice or accepted terms. Review every clause and obtain appropriate advice where needed. Applying an AI suggestion does not send or sign it. The business must expressly accept and send a new version, and the freelancer must separately accept that version; previous signatures do not carry forward. Prior versions and recorded acceptances are retained.
Cancellation and rescheduling
The separate Cancellation Policy forms part of these Terms. The current self-service flow permits freelancer cancellation of accepted dates only at least seven India calendar days before the start date; businesses may cancel eligible accepted bookings while neither party has recorded completion.
A cancellation does not automatically create a refund, compensation or penalty. The parties must settle their obligations under their agreement and applicable law. Rescheduling, emergencies and substitutions must be communicated and agreed; a private message alone does not update a platform booking.
Fraud prevention and verification
Never share an OTP, password, payment PIN or remote-access permission. Verify the counterparty, written scope and payment recipient before paying. Keep booking, communication and payment evidence. Report impersonation, forged documents, non-attendance or suspicious requests promptly.
Phone OTP confirms access to a number at that time. Optional blue-tick document review follows the Verification & Safety Policy and is separate from ordinary account approval. A badge is a limited record of the checks described there, not a guarantee of legal compliance, identity in every circumstance, criminal history, honesty, skill, attendance, financial standing or future conduct. We do not offer police checks, physical address visits or integrated government-database authentication. You must make your own lawful checks before hiring or paying.
Do not submit forged documents, false payment confirmations, manipulated reviews, stolen portfolios or false complaints. Do not scrape private member information, sell contacts, harass people, spam, bypass access controls or use the platform for unlawful activity.
A Report profile option is available on each freelancer profile and talent card. Sign in, choose Report profile, explain suspected fraud, theft, impersonation, harassment, unsafe behaviour or misleading information, and submit factual details. Reports enter a private moderation queue and flag an alert for authorised staff. Do not include passwords, OTPs or identity documents, make knowingly false allegations or publicly disclose personal records. A report does not establish wrongdoing or automatically suspend an account. For an immediate threat, contact local emergency services; reporting here is not an emergency service.
Content and moderation
You retain rights you hold in your content and grant WedQuarter a limited permission to store, display and process it as necessary to operate, secure and back up the services you use. This does not grant WedQuarter ownership of your client work or permission to use private identity documents in advertising.
WedQuarter may review reports, request evidence, restrict content or access, remove a badge or suspend/deactivate an account where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security, legal duties or a material breach. When appropriate, staff should explain the reason and consider a response; urgent protective action may come first.
Send an appeal or correction request to the support contact with the relevant profile or booking reference. The platform can review its own account decisions but does not act as a court, arbitral tribunal or guarantor of recovery.
Member conduct, payments and responsibility
Each freelancer and business owner is responsible for their own representations, actions, omissions, property, contracts and payments. Theft, fraud, impersonation, harassment, abusive behaviour, misbehaviour, discrimination, property damage, misuse of footage or personal data, non-attendance and failure to pay are prohibited.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, WedQuarter is not responsible for a freelancer’s or business owner’s independent theft, fraud, misconduct, service failure or breach, or for loss arising from payment transactions made directly between them. Listing a profile, facilitating a conversation, recording dates or confirming a phone OTP does not make WedQuarter responsible for that person’s promises or conduct and does not create a guarantee of compensation, replacement or recovery.
This allocation of responsibility does not exclude WedQuarter’s own fraud, wilful misconduct, or any duty, liability or remedy that applicable law does not allow it to exclude. Nothing limits non-excludable consumer rights, lawful complaints or access to competent courts or statutory authorities.
Keep written terms and payment evidence. Report platform misuse to support and suspected crime to the appropriate authorities. WedQuarter may review relevant platform records and take proportionate account action, but is not a court, investigator for the parties, collection agency or guarantor of recovery. Indian law applies subject to mandatory applicable protections; this page does not impose an unverified exclusive court location.
To the extent permitted by law, a member responsible for fraud, wilful misconduct, unlawful content or a material breach of these terms must reimburse WedQuarter for reasonable, evidenced direct losses and third-party claims caused by that conduct. This does not cover losses caused by WedQuarter’s own wrongful conduct or waive a mandatory right. WedQuarter must give reasonable notice of a claim where practicable, allow a reasonable opportunity to respond and take reasonable steps to limit loss; disputed liability remains subject to applicable law and competent authorities.
The platform may be unavailable for maintenance, technical faults or events outside reasonable control. Save copies of important agreements and delivery/payment evidence. WedQuarter does not promise uninterrupted availability, a particular number of opportunities, confirmed employment or a guaranteed commercial outcome. Any exclusion operates only to the extent permitted by law.
Changes, contact and disputes
Terms and policies are subject to change. We publish revised policy text and retain version and publication-date records for administrators. We provide notice of material changes through an appropriate platform or account channel. Changes operate prospectively and do not retrospectively rewrite a concluded engagement, remove an accrued mandatory right or establish consent that was never given. Where law or the nature of a change requires fresh consent, we must obtain it before applying that change. A policy edit alone cannot activate charges.
Contact wedquarters@gmail.com with booking concerns, policy questions or account appeals. Include the relevant profile/booking reference and a factual description; use protected channels if authorised staff request evidence. Report immediate danger to emergency services and suspected theft or fraud to the appropriate authorities.
The Refund Policy, Booking & Cancellation Policy, Verification & Safety Policy and Privacy Policy should be read with these Terms. Policy version and publication-date records are retained for administrators; the acceptance system records which text each member agreed to.
When renewed account acceptance is required
Routine website releases, formatting changes and minor policy corrections do not require you to accept again. Members without recorded account-policy acceptance must accept before account use. If an administrator publishes a major public-policy change explicitly requiring renewed acceptance, returning members must review and accept before continuing. We retain the exact version and text each member actually accepted; previous acceptance is not rewritten. Optional verification and marketing consents remain separate.
